Great dog park and trails. Everyone we have met has been friendly. They even have a water area for the dogs
The park itself is wonderful-some of the dog owners, not so much. My girl immediately got rushed and mounted by four unneutered males within seconds of walking into the dog beach area, and of course, no owners were in sight. Pretty scary for both of us as I was pulling unfamiliar dogs off my terrified one. When the owners did show up, they were screaming and cursing at each other, generally heightening the intensity of the situation and making everyone super uncomfortable. Every park will have inattentive dog owners at no fault of the park itself, but a wider entry area into the beach would be great so an entering dog can safely evade any misbehaving ones without getting cornered. Despite this, we will be back again, just at less busy times.
Huge area for dogs to run, multiple water front areas if your dog is a swimmer. Hose hookup for you to clean up after a swim. Gated areas for small breeds and large breeds. In all my visits I've seen it be consistently clean and have not had any issues with aggressive dogs that I've come across at other parks throughout town.
Absolutely one of the best dog parks around. Beach access for those hot summer days. Large areas for the dogs to play and very dedicated volunteers to help maintain the park so it's a pleasurable experience for not only the dogs but the owners as well.
My dog was able to squeeze himself under the fence and ran out into the parking lot. Fortunately, I was able to get him safely with the help of a fellow dog mom.
